To enhance
customer service, the Gloucester City Library is pleased to provide a fax service
to its community as an additional library offering. The service is available
to patrons in good standing. Patrons
needing fax service will be accommodated as soon as possible, but library
services and operations will take priority. Procedure
Gloucester
City Library Fax Number is 856-456-6724.
Operation
of the fax machine is limited to library staff.
A
fax transmission cover sheet available, if requested. The cover sheet will be
counted as an additional page for both local or long distance transmission.
Local
fax transmission charges are $3.00 for first page, $1.00 for each additional
page. Non Gloucester City residents will be charged $5.00 for first page, and
$3.00 for each additional page. Cash only.
Long
distance fax transmission charges are $5.00 for the first page, $1.00 for
each additional page for residents. Non residents will be charged $7.00 for
first page, and $5.00 for each additional page, cash only. Long distance
is considered any call outside the 856 area code. If
the first call results in a busy signal or other failed connection, 4 more
attempts will made to transmit in the next 10 minutes. If failure persists for 10 minutes,
transmissions may be resubmitted one hour later for the reduced cost of $1.00
per page for residents and $3.00 per page for non-residents. Failed long
distance faxes will be charged at $2.00 for residents and $4.00 for non-residents. Only the
patron may determine the success of the transmission by calling the
recipient. Patrons must be in the library to send faxes.
Fax
transmissions may also be received. The price for receiving local or long
distance faxes is $2.00/page
for residents, $4.00/page for non-residents. Faxes larger than letter
size are not receivable.
Library staff will not monitor items
faxed to the Library. Incoming fax sheets will remain at the fax machine for
the patron to collect. Patrons failing to collect faxes in a timely manner
will have the charges posted to their library records for payment at their
next visit. Payment must be made
at the Circulation Desk by cash only.
Fax transmission\collection service
is available only during the hours the
Library is open, staff time permitting. Library services take priority
over fax requests. Transmission
errors are common and print quality is variable and not controllable by the
library. The library is NOT responsible for
successful transmission of outgoing or incoming faxes nor is the library
responsible for any damage or loss of data or consequential damage arising
out of the use of this service.
