***WHAT'S NEW FOR KIDS***

 

Summer 2010 Programs

 

Summer  programs start  July 6 and run through August 12. Sign-up requested for Camp Library series only; please call us at 456-4181, or stop in the library to enroll. For all other programs, just walk in. All programs are free, but attendance may be limited by space.

Beach Party!

  • Friday, July 9 from 12 noon until 1 p.m.
  • Wear your bathing suit & bring a towel (& don't forget the sunscreen and flip-flops)

Camp Library

  • Tiny Tots (ages 24-36 months):  Tuesdays from 10:00 - 10:30 am
  • Preschool (3 to 5 years old; parent remains in building): Tuesdays from 11:00 - 11:45 a.m.
  • Kindergarten to 3rd Grade, Wednesdays from 12:00 noon - 1 p.m.

Movie Tuesdays

Wii Wednesdays

  • Play a different game each week

  • Grades Kindergarten through Third Grade - 1:15 to 2:15 p.m.

  • Grades Four  and Up - 2:30 to 4 p.m.

Terrific Thursdays

  • Special events presented by the Franklin Institute, magician Brian Richards, and more of your favorites. Click here for the complete schedule.

    • Many thanks to the Gloucester City Stamp Club for generously sponsoring our first Terrific Thursday Program on July 8, featuring the Franklin Institute Traveling Science Show.

  • Programs begin at 2 p.m. and are suitable for all ages.

Summer Crafts

  • For all ages (children under 6 to be accompanied by parent)

  • 11 a.m. to Noon on the following Fridays: July 23, July 30 and August 6

 

Homework

Beginning in July, 2009, the website will require Silverlight, a software plug-in similar to Flash. The library's public computers are being updated to include Silverlight.  If you need to install it on your home computer, the free download is available from Microsoft
