Mission Statement

The mission of the Gloucester City Library is to provide access to resources in a variety of formats that inform, educate, enlighten, and entertain our diverse community.

Attention GPS Users

     When entering the Gloucester City Library into your GPS system you may have to enter the address 809 Bergen Street, Gloucester City. Otherwise you will end up in Brooklawn, although these address rules may not apply to Google Maps.

Driving Directions From Burlington County

South on Route 130, turn right on Nicholson Road which becomes Hudson Street at Newton Creek. Proceed to the second set of railroad tracks and make a left turn before the 2nd set of tracks. The library is visible at this point (on left).

South on I-295 to Walt Whitman Bridge Exit 26 and North-South Freeway, bear right and take the first exit on right, Exit 1-C (Gloucester, Mt. Ephraim), then left turn. This is Market Street. Keep on Market Street, crossing Route 130 (Royal Farms and Roadway Inn is at the right) until Broadway (gas stations). Turn right on Broadway to second traffic light (Monmouth Street). Turn right and then left after crossing the railroad. This is the municipal parking lot, and the library is straight ahead.

Driving Directions From Gloucester County and points south

Take I-295 heading north towards Camden, to 42 North-South Freeway take Exit 1-C (Gloucester, Mt. Ephraim), then turn left. This is Market Street. Stay on Market Street, crossing Route 130 (Royal Farms and Roadway Inn is at right) until Broadway (gas stations). Turn right on Broadway to second traffic light (Monmouth Street). Turn right and then left after crossing the railroad. This is the municipal parking lot, and the library is straight ahead.

From the Benjamin Franklin Bridge, take Route 676 to Route 130 (Westville/Gloucester City) exit. Turn right at light (Market Street) Continue until you come to Broadway (gas stations). Turn right on Broadway to second traffic light (Monmouth Street). Turn right and then left after crossing the railroad. This is the municipal parking lot, and the library is straight ahead.

From the Walt Whitman Bridge, take Route 130 South to Market Street, make a right turn and go to Broadway (gas stations). Turn right on Broadway to second traffic light (Monmouth Street). Turn right and then left after crossing the railroad. This is the municipal parking lot, and the library is straight ahead.

Driving Directions From New Brunswick and points north
